FEEL AT HOME IN SRI LANKA

Puwak Watta is located in Atanikitha - a small rural village about 3 miles inland from the bustling town of Ahangama on the Galle-Matara coast road, in the south west part of the island. The journey from Colombo airport is around 2 hours via the Southern Expressway. Direct flights from London take about 10 hours.

The Main House has three double bedrooms and there are an additional two double bedrooms in the Tea House. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities. Our housekeeper, Kamala, can cook you local specialities or you can choose to be totally self-catered. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and the electricity supply is 240V, UK standard sockets. The pool and surrounding tropical gardens are for your exclusive use. Look out for the wealth of birdlife, the occasional purple-faced leaf monkey and a mongoose family which have also made this their home.

Inside we have chosen a small number of antique pieces of furniture to be sympathetic with the history of the house, but it is definitely there to be lived in, not just looked at.
